Their branding claims to be the #1 longest lasting AA battery and they are by a long shot. In some tests, it lasted three and a half times longer than other AAs. The Energizer Ultimate Lithium is a different type of AA battery. Most AA batteries that you see on the shelf are Alkaline batteries. Alkalines have been around forever and for the most part, they are all pretty similar. This Energizer, however, is a totally different chemistry: it delivers more power for longer, and all at a higher voltage. Check it out:
Notice how the Energizer stays above 1.3V for a majority of its discharge, while the Duracell CopperTop (a typical alkaline battery) falls below 1.3V less than a quarter of the way in. In addition to the massive capacity difference, the higher voltage can help your devices run better too.
